This month [again] we have a special plant opportunity table. A fresh shipment of assorted plants came from David Sand, the proprietor of Michaels Bromeliads by Dave in Florida. There are interesting species, hybrids and the odd bi-generic crosses. Unusual species include Quesnelia tubiolia and the exciting pink form of Sincorea burle-marxii. There are hybrids by Chester Skotak, Jim Irvin and several by Hawaiian hybridist Lisa Vinzant. One of the most strikingly-patterned plants in forebodingly named Aechmea Bruning Embers!
