March's program will be by

Jeff will tell us about incorporating bromeliads into succulent gardens. We might ask him about introducing succulents into bromeliad gardens. Both ways, it’s interesting!

Jeff is the owner of Solana Succulents, a specialty nursery in Solana Beach since 1992. He is best known for the ‘undersea‘ succulent gardens he has created and exhibited for over twenty years at the Del Mar fairgrounds (or whatever they‘re called now) and at home and garden shows. He is also author of four books on succulents. The cover of the most recent one, Spiny Succulents, is pictured above. The book includes a chapter on terrestrial bromeliads. Take a look at his website at www.solana succulents.com .

About Jeff's book Spiny Succulents

Picture
Spiny Succulents is a visual and informative overview of the primary groups of spiny succulents in cultivation - cacti, euphorbias, alluaudias, fouquierias, and other (mostly) spiny relatives. Written by a succulent nursery owner and enthusiast, it primarily showcases plants in cultivation, both landscape and container, with insights for growing and general care.
