Trip Highlights:
Singapore Stopover: The journey kicked off with a layover to explore local sites, including the iconic Gardens by the Bay.
Western Australian Adventures: Scott and Jim started the adventure with a side trip to the stunning Ningaloo Reef on the northern coast.
Perth Garden Tour and the Southern West Coast: Scott, Jim, and our past-president Kerry Nelson started their time in Western Australia in Perth; the trio toured the vibrant private gardens of long-time bromeliad enthusiast Vic Przetocke. We toured wineries, a vast underground cavern, and experienced the tall native forests.
Aussie Broms 2025: The grand finale for Scott and Jim was the 22nd Australasian Bromeliad Conference, hosted by the Bromeliad Society of Queensland. This international event celebrated the diversity of bromeliads and featured world-renowned experts, including guest speakers Pam Koide-Hyatt and Dylan Zoller.
