Meetings

Summer meetings and our June show and sale are cancelled.
​Keep checking back. We’re still hoping to have a member sale in Balboa Park at our November meeting.

Our monthly meetings are held in Balboa Park.  Guests and visitors are most welcome.  We have lively group discussions on bromeliad topics, with beginner, intermediate and advanced topics.  A popular meeting segment is Show & Tell; members bring in plants from their collections - asking for identification, presenting unusual plants or to share a plant in flower.  Often, a very few select specimen plants go up for auction, and there is an opportunity table raffle.  The main presentation during the second half of the meeting is typically a slide show or a hands-on demonstration.  There are refreshments and homemade nibbles, and often there is something featuring pineapple, of course!
