“Exhibitions and Shows of the Past” The annual event has gone on, year after year for many years, but people, plants and the layout has evolved. It was an interactive program, both in person and on Zoom. Dan explained to us how to prepare our plants for the show, with special attention to newcomers. Juliana described this year’s layout for those plants being exhibited as well as how the sales area will be configured. |
May Plants
We had some phenomenal plants on auction. An established specimen of Vriesea "Galaxy' went up for auction, as well as some fine hybrids from our compadre, David Fell, who lives in Hilo. A few desirable Neoregelia hybrids from Hawaii were put on a silent auction. This new format s3emed to be a hit. For the raffle table, our focus was on Neoregelia hybrids. Scott picked a bunch of shiny, colorful plants that will easily root by summer. |
