New Registration Info
We hope that you will plan on joining us for an exciting bromeliad extravaganza. We have assembled a fantastic international lineup of speakers and a trolley bus tour to urban gardens and the Botanical Building in Balboa Park. There are several bromeliad growers and nurseries within striking distance, and there are both public and private gardens to see.

San Diego shares a border with the Mexican state of Baja California. Our mild, dry Mediterranean climate means that xerophytic plants are particularly well-suited here. {Think Puya, Dykia, Hechtia and the many dry Tillandsias.} Yet within these limits, almost anything can be grown with regular irrigation under shade cloth!

On behalf of the venue, please allow us to clear up two small points in your reservation: The required Passport to Paradise resort fee will not be their regular fee of $38.00/day; it was negotiated for our conference to be only $9.  Secondly, during the conference, parking during the day is free; overnight parking is $20 (which is also a negotiated lower rate).   We’ll be reminding you to remember this at check-out.   Consider our advice and don't rent a car.
Take Uber or Lyft or a cab from the airport, which is only 5 miles away.
